Beyond Urban Segregation – A historical perspective on deprived neighborhoods in Denmark

Denmark is recognized as one of the happiest countries in the world and Copenhagen one of the most livable cities. Nevertheless, throughout the last decade politicians have become increasingly concerned about residential segregation and especially about deprived neighborhoods. What do we know about these neighborhoods in Denmark?
Has the residential composition of deprived neighborhoods changed over time? And what are the dynamics behind residential segregation? “Beyond Segregation – A historical perspective on deprived neighborhoods in Denmark” explores these questions by presenting facts and discussing opportunities to approaches and strategies.
