IFHP is a strategic partner of The World Cities Summit.
IFHP as Strategic Partner
This year IFHP is a strategic partner to the World Cities Summit. This will mean that we will be involved in the preparation and shaping of this year's summit. We are also in the process of designing a side-event (more to follow).
For IFHP members our partnership will mean that you will be able to buy discounted entry tickets. More information on this will follow soon.
The 2018 edition
The theme “Liveable and Sustainable Cities: Embracing the Future through Innovation & Collaboration” will explore how cities can be more liveable and resilient through better governance and planning, technology and social innovations, as well as collaboration between stakeholders and other cities. Through shared vision and active engagement, the public, private and people sectors can co-create innovative and integrated urban solutions for a more sustainable future.
The week of 8 - 12 July 2018 will be filled with co-located events, receptions and launches by the WCS sponsors and strategic partners, like IFHP, as they organise conferences and workshops to address specific urban topics. Many of these offer complimentary access to World Cities Summit delegates.
Visit the WCS website to find out more about World Cities Summit co-located events or please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to co-locate your event.
The Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize & IFHP
The Prize recognises outstanding international initiatives for city excellence by outstanding individuals and organisations who have contributed urban initiatives, policies or projects which epitomise foresight, good governance or innovation in overcoming the challenges faced by cities. Lecture and forum discussions will focus on four key pillars that are instrumental to the success of every city and its quality of urban life - liveability, vibrancy, sustainability and quality of life.
IFHP President Flemming Borreskov is part of the selection committee for the price.
The Centre for Liveable Cities (CLC) is responsible for the organisation. CLC is a member of IFHP.
