Words of thanks

The Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP) and the International Federation for Housing and Planning (IFHP) would like to thank the Institut Supérieur d'Urbanisme et de Rénovation Urbaine (ISURU) in Brussels for hosting the lecture by Professor Danuta Hübner on 5th October 2012 within the framework of the AESOP-IFHP Lecture Series.

In particular, we wish to thank Christophe Washer and Didier Vancutsem from ISURU for their personal contribution to the success of our lecture. However, we know very well that it requires the work of a team to organize such an event, and the whole team from ISURU has shown tremendous dedication, reliability in partnership and pleasurable cooperation, all of which contributed to a successful event.

Our special word of gratitude goes to Professor Danuta Hübner, MEP, for her outstanding lecture ‘Space and Place as Integrating Factors in Policy-Making: New Models of Territorial Governance in Europe '.

The AESOP and IFHP communities are also greatly indebted to the panelists who contributed to the roundtable discussion on Perspectives for Territorial Governance in Europe which followed the lecture:
Dimitri CORPAKIS (EC, DG Research & Innovation),
Ole DAMSGAARD (NORDREGIO),
Philippe DOUCET (ISURU & ULB),
Christian SVANFELDT and Władysław PISKORZ (EC, DG Regio),
Emmanuel MOULIN (URBACT)
and our moderatorDavid EVERS (Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency)

Last but not least we would like to thank all our guests who attended the event and shared their thoughts and ideas with us.
