Preparing for World Design Summit in Montreal in 2017

We are preparing for the World Design Summit in Montreal in 2017.
The IFHP is looking to Montreal in 2017 where we will be present at the World Design Summit (WDS). Together with the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) and the International Council of Design (IcoD) and in collaboration with the WDS Organisation we will be part of a large-scale multifaceted congress, gathering design disciplines across the board to enhance the power of design in creating a better life for people.

On Monday September 28, the World Design Summit (14-25 October 2017) was officially announced in the Société des Arts Technologiques in Montreal. IFHP was present to advance the preparations.

The Summit's objectives will be to establish an international design charter, to be renewed every two years, to promote positive social and environmental change through the use of design.

As a truly international event held in the UNESCO 'City of Design', the Summit will host 18 simultaneous conventions/congresses with some 4,500 delegates in attendance from 80 countries, representing six professional disciplines associated with the built environment: Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design and Urban Planning.
