The first ‘Zero Draft’ of the New Urban Agenda is now online

The publication of the zero draft of the New Urban Agenda is now available and opens the next chapter of the Habitat III roadmap. You are invited to join the Urban Dialogue and give your feedback on the draft.

The zero draft of the New Urban Agenda (NUA) was prepared on the basis of inputs from broad regional and thematic consultations, as well as the policy recommendations elaborated by the policy units, including contributions by IFHP to Policy Unit 1 “Right to the city and cities for all” and Policy Unit 4 on “Urban governance, capacity and institutional development” - and comments thereon received by participating states and all stakeholders – including IFHP’s membership in the WUC: World Urban Campaign and hereunder engagement in GAP: General Assembly of Partners PCG: Partner Constituent Group of Professionals and IFHP’s active involvement in HPF: Habitat Professionals Forum.

The New Urban Agenda aims to be a concise, action-oriented, forward-looking, and universal framework of actions for housing and sustainable urban development. The publication of the zero draft opens the next chapter of the Habitat III roadmap.

You are now invited to join the Urban Dialogue and give your feedback on the draft! You are also welcome to send IFHP an email with your comments and we will take these comments with us in our next NUA meeting.
