This book is based on first hand, personal experience in planning, building and living in New Towns - recorded experience which could be of use to others in the same field. It consists of three virtually separate sections, each with its own editor responsible for three different geographical areas: the European and North American Experience; Non-European and Developing Countries Experience; Japanese Experience.
